Blythswood’s partner organisation in Moldova distributes most of the gift boxes it receives from the Shoe Box Appeal in December. But it holds back a few to give to orphanage children at summer camp – children such as Dorin. My name is Dorin. I am ten years old. I am very thankful for Christmas boxes. In them I find many things such as toys which remind me about the time when my sister and I were happy at home. Now we are in two different orphanages because our parents use alcohol. I miss my sister and my parents. When I received this gift, I heard a Bible story about the broad and narrow ways. I want to walk on the narrow way, to be together again with my sister and my parents.
