This Father’s Day, let’s help orphans secure their future
Father’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate fathers and their role in caring, guiding and teaching. But what is life like for someone who has no father and no mother?
Blythswood Care is passionate about helping people improve their lives. We support a young adult training programme in Harare, Zimbabwe. It’s amazing to see this at work in the lives of people who are struggling.
While still at primary school, Hama’s mother died. His father died the same year. Orphaned, and with many changes in his life, school had been a constant. But no one could pay school fees for Hama so he was asked to leave.
You can make this Father’s Day different from any other, by helping an orphan like Hama build a better life.
You can pay for a young adult to attend a sewing skills programme. The intensive sewing skills programme lasts eight months. People trained in cutting and sewing are in high demand in Zimbabwe. By donating, you will lift the self-esteem of young adults like Hama.
Please send a gift to support orphans who long for a better future, but find poverty standing in their way. Your prayers can bring change too – and you can join with us and our partners around the world in praying for orphans this Father’s Day.
