“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Proverbs 3: 6-7
It is our prayer that our staff, volunteers and supporters continue to keep safe and well as we gradually move out of lockdown and furlough in coming weeks, following Scottish Government guidelines.
Nine of our shops in Scotland and seven of our shops in Ireland are now open and trading well. We are very grateful to the general public who have been very generous, with donations flooding into our shops. Deephaven and Glasgow Depots are now opening up and many of the sorting and warehouse teams have returned to work. Regular loads of recycling have started to go out again.
We will move on to the second phase of opening further shops during August and plan to have all shops re-opened by the end of the month. We are also planning to
re-start collections of furniture. Initially this will be contactless, from outside the donor’s home.
Our foodbanks in Scotland and our overseas projects continue, thanks to the sacrificial giving of our faithful supporters. We are planning to launch our Annual Shoe Box Appeal this month. Please keep up-to-date through Blythswood Care’s website and Facebook pages.
Please continue to pray with us for friends and colleagues who are unwell at this time.
We greatly appreciate your support as we gradually resume our normal activities. We will give further update as matters progress.
May we all know the Lord’s help and guidance in these difficult days.
